The first date must be the most nerve wracking and mind boggling for both men and woman.  It is the first time and you don’t know each other so well yet and so it is normal to feel nervous.  How should I act?  What should I wear?  Will he or she like me?  Those are questions that can pop in every now and then.  So for those of you who will be going to the “first date”, these are some things that you can do in order to have a good impression.  Remember, you need in so that you can have a second date and many more dates after that!

For you guys, remember, it always pays to be a gentleman.  Most women may deny it but here is the truth, she always likes it when her date shows up with a bouquet of flowers or a box of candies or chocolates in hand.  Call it old fashioned but that is a great way to make a good first impression.  It also effectively expresses how thankful you are that she said yes and for finding time for you.

Another thing that women like is for you to be a gentleman, open the door when they are entering and exiting the vehicle. You might also take out the chair in the restaurant where you are going. If you would like to know how to get a girlfriend this is one of the for sure ways to do it.

For you gals, you can do one thing that would mean a lot to the guy – smile and do it a lot.  That is your subtle way of showing that you are excited to meet him and get to know him better.  A smile begets a smile so if you do it a lot, he will be smiling a lot during the course of your date as well.  Talk about having a blast!

Now just a few more tips, remember to just be yourself during the date.  Don’t pretend to be someone you’re not.  And always bring good manners with you.  That goes a long way.
